Night skies in many parts of the Northern Hemisphere are expected to bloom again on Saturday night with the vivid colors of the northern lights, or aurora borealis, as a powerful geomagnetic storm caused by a hyperactive sun persists through the weekend. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, which monitors space weather, said in an update on Saturday that it continued to observe solar activity that could lead to periods of “severe-extreme” geomagnetic storms. Major power utilities had largely prepared their electrical grids for the solar storm, and their customers were unaffected. For most people, the solar storm was a gift: It caused ribbons of pink, purple and green light across night skies of much of the United States, Canada and Europe. I use that word — “unfortunate” — not because I don’t understand why Biden did so, but because the move has enabled Benjamin Netanyahu to deflect attention from the fact that the most dangerous leader threatening Israel today is not Biden but Bibi. Netanyahu’s policies have not and will not produce a sustainable victory in Gaza, cannot secure Israel against its greatest existential threat — Iran — and are endangering world Jewry and undermining America’s broader Middle East strategic needs and goals. That is the real source of tension between Washington and Jerusalem today. Novavax on Friday said it has signed a multibillion-dollar deal with French drugmaker Sanofi to co-commercialize the company's Covid vaccine starting next year and develop combination shots targeting the coronavirus and the flu, among other efforts. Part of the deal allows Sanofi to use Novavax's Covid shot and flagship vaccine technology, Matrix-M adjuvant, to develop new vaccine products. Novavax is also entitled to royalty payments on Sanofi's sales of its Covid vaccine and combination shots targeting coronavirus and the flu. Under the deal, Sanofi will also take a less than 5% stake in Novavax.

Some are practicing something called "AI washing," which Securities and Exchange Commission chair Gary Gensler explained in a video includes "false claims to investors by those purporting to use those new technologies." In reality, what AI washing leads to is a breakdown of confidence between vendors and their consumers, enterprise partners and investors. Bates says so-called button-pushing applications are AI washing, too. "These prompts that are being sold as AI companies, they have to be maintained and monitored and adjusted in order to work." Stewart says even 80–90% gross profitability for a fully AI company with limited human intervention is standard.
